Deblurring (iDeb)

Imatrics Deblurring (iDeb), on which Imatrics holds an international patent [1], efficiently sharpens blurred images. Blurring in digital images may be due to a number of causes:

  • Out of focus.
  • Movement.
  • The propagation medium (normally the atmosphere).
  • Imperfections in the optics.

Examples and applications:

  • Simplification of optical systems: iDeb makes it possible to reduce costs in designing and manufacturing the optics of capture devices while maintaining or even enhancing final image quality.

  • Enhancement of images shot with imperfect optics.

  • Enhancement of out-of-focus shots taken with an infrared camera.
